We hired DJ BLK Soldier for a bit of an unconventional event--an end-of-year meeting for a bunch of school leaders on a Friday morning. It was a bit of a last-minute booking, and his communication was excellent. The DJ services were amazing! Totally understood the vibe and the assignment. Got people up and on the dance floor. Would not hesitate to hire him again if we're in need of DJ services in the Chicago-area.

I have been to multiple events where Sam was the DJ and Emcee, and as soon as we decided to have our wedding anniversary party in Chicago, I knew that he was the only one I wanted. My husband and I have very different musical tastes and we kind of wanted really different things, and Sam was able to capture both of our vibes. And that's just the music! He also has the lights, and the setup, and the emceeing. It was all on point. You definitely want him at your next event!

My husband and I were married in July. BLK Dj services were amazing. Great to work with and he communicated every step of the way. For the bridal party entrance we had 1 song. I timed the song myself at home and relayed the time to Sam of when to stop the music, so everyone can prepare for my entrance and it went perfectly. I definitely recommend BLK Dj Services.

When I say don’t walk and run I mean it. When I say Sam was absolutely wonderful and the professionalism was top notch. If I could have given 100 stars I would. From the time I met Sam until we physically met at our wedding he remained patient, kind understanding and down right the best DJ I have ever seen. He will always get my business from here on out. Sam was great to work with for our party and i would highly recommend BLK Soldier DJ Services tor any party. our party was a 70’s theme and he got a disco ball and other lights to add to the feel, which worked great! His partner Anthony was our DJ and he also did a fantastic job. 5 stars all around!

As a community park district we plan several special events each year with many requiring a DJ. We feel so lucky to have found an excellent DJ right in our area. Sam does a great job with our participants of all ages, bringing energy and fun to our events. Sam made such a good impression after his first event with us that our participants now ask, "Are you having the same DJ?" when they register for upcoming events.

We had a hard time figuring out who to hire as a DJ for our wedding. All we knew was we wanted good dancing and someone who was willing to hype up the reception. Once we had Sam, all our worries were over. He did exactly what we wanted him to do and made our night one to remember!

I have had the pleasure of working with DJ Blk Soldier on a pop up event in Chicago in May 2019. It was downtown during rush hour. Blk Soldier showcased superb blending and mixing skills. He also showed his versatility by playing songs for different demographics.Everyone had a great time. I will definitely be working with him again in the future.

Sam was the epitome of a great DJ. He provided services that made our 2019 Legal Prep Charter Academy senior prom sensational. Sam was prepared to work from start to finish. He knew exactly how to get and keep our students engaged and enjoying the night that they should remember. What I like most about Sam was that he was not afraid to engage in conversation with the students and interested in who they were. I believe that he was a key piece to the success of our senior prom. We were looking forward to having him again for the 2020 prom but the global matters put a brief hold on that. I am looking forward to doing more work with Sam in other events inside and I will definitely be using him for personal events as well.
